The Consumer Protection Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s Office oversees

West Des Moines Dealer Fleets.

 complaints about auto dealers.  In the last three years it took in almost 1000 complaints.  28 percent involve consumer credit issues.  This left consumer advocates and dealers at odds over the exclusion of car dealers from the new Federal Consumer Protection Law.
